FI-8000 Optical Interferometer for Measuring Gas Purity in Air / O2 / N2 and CO2
The FI-8000 is the latest model from Riken in a long line of optical interferometers dating back to 1930's when Riken's founder first developed the technology for Methane detection to help prevent explosion accidents on oil tankers and in coal mines. FI-8000 gives extremely accurate (typically 3% of Reading across the whole range) and stable readings as long as there is minimal or no interference gases present.

• Works by measuring the refractive index of the Gas : Highly accurate across the entire range
• Long battery life : Operates continously for over 12 hours (on 3 AA batteries). Optional Lithium ion battery unit give over 18 hours continuous use.
• Rugged Design : Ingress Protection IP67 (suited for outdoors), with robust impact resistant rubber
• Very long in service Life : No replaceable sensor optics last many years if maintained properly
• Sampling Method : Two sample methods available : Sample Pump or Hand Aspirated
• Data Logging : Up to 256 points of data can be recorded either automatically at specified time intervals, or by instantaneous manual recording.
• Intermittent Measuring Mode : Switches the pump off into power-saving standby state that saves battery life (for sample pump type only)
